Why become a member?
Membership with the Powell River Cycling Association (PRCA) / Wild Women Cycling Club (WWCC) is $50 annually. The first $36 of your membership goes directly to sport injury and liability insurance coverage provided by Cycling BC. This coverage includes a $5,000,000 liability policy and accident policy that reimburses riders for medical expenses not covered under the Provincial Health Care Program. The remaining $14 covers expenses associated with operating PRCA that are required in achieving our goals and activities.
If you wish to be a part of the Powell River Cycling Association / Wild Women Cycling Club and participate and ride in club activities, complete the 2012 PRCA Membership Application and forward with $50 to the address on the application. Once we have received your application, a Cycling BC Affiliate Membership Card will be mailed to you from Cycling BC. Club membership lets you participate in activities, rides and club level races held by the Powell River Cycling Association / Wild Women Cycling Club. Due to insurance requirements, only PRCA members will be allowed to participate in organized club rides and races.
If you wish to participate in provincial or regional level races, or races or rides held by other clubs then you must have either a Citizen License or UCI International License. You can purchase a racing licence directly with Cycling BC online here. The remaining membership fee for PRCA for licensed riders is $14 and can be forwarded to the address on the PRCA application form. If you already have a Citizen’s License or UCI License, all you need is the $14 PRCA membership!
